Why do you use silk?
Silk gives us the best balance of comfort and performance without using a plastic filament. It’s strong, smooth, and reliable in tight spaces, so it feels like “proper floss” instead of something you tolerate because it’s eco.
Silk is one of the strongest natural fibres, which is why it holds up better than many plant-based options that fray or snap.
And because it’s a natural protein fibre, silk is biodegradable under the right conditions.
Our formula stays simple: 100% silk fibre with a light coating of candelilla wax and mint. No nylon, no polyester, no PTFE, and no heavy synthetic coatings.
Can I see your ingredient list?
Absolutely. Our floss contains:

I have tight teeth, will this work?
Yes. Silk is the strongest natural thread that’s appropriate for flossing, and it holds up well even when contacts are snug.
With being said, it is important to use the correct technique if you have very tight teeth:
- Slide it in, don’t force it, and don’t saw it in. Keep light tension on the floss and pull it between the teeth while sliding in one direction, so it eases through the contact instead of catching.
- Rotate to a fresh section often. Tight contacts put more wear on the fibres, so using a clean, unworn section before the next tooth helps prevent fraying and keeps it gliding smoothly.
If you have one or two spots that are unusually tight (often back molars), it may take a little patience at first, but using the technique above will help it pass through comfortably.
Does the packaging or product have any plastic?
Almost none, and none of it goes in your mouth.
The dispenser itself is metal, and the floss is silk, so no plastic goes near your teeth.
There are only two small, unavoidable polymer parts, and both are there for performance and longevity:
- Mounting adhesive + backing film (a few grams): In order for it to stick to your wall and stay stuck, we must use a high-performance adhesive system. A “plastic-free” alternative simply won’t hold.
- Internal silicone gasket: A tiny seal inside the dispenser that keeps it tight to the wall and helps block moisture from entering at the top. It’s built to last as long as the dispenser and is not something you replace or throw away. It also does not touch the floss.
If your priority is reducing microplastic and unknown chemical exposure where it actually matters, the daily contact point is the floss - and that’s the part we’ve designed to avoid plastic.
How do I install the floss dispenser?
It comes with a high-strength, peel-and-stick adhesive. No tools, no damage. Just stick it to a clean, dry wall, glass or mirror.
Will it stay on the wall/mirror?
Yes. The adhesive is designed for long-term hold on smooth, dry surfaces like tile, glass, mirror or painted walls.
How do I remove the dispenser from the wall?
First up, you don't need to remove the dispenser to refill it. The main body slides upward off the wall-mounted base, so you can easily swap in a fresh spool.
That said, if you're moving house or repositioning it, removal is possible. Fair warning: we use a high-strength adhesive because we want this thing to stay put for years, not fall off after a few weeks. So removal takes a bit of effort, but the steps below will get it done without damaging your wall.
- Slide off the main body by lifting it up and off the base.
- Warm the adhesive with a hair dryer for 30–60 seconds. Heat softens the bond and makes removal much easier.
- Saw it off with dental floss. Slide the floss behind the base and work it back and forth to cut through the adhesive.
- Clean up any residue with an adhesive remover. Test it on a hidden spot first to make sure it won't damage your wall or paint.
How do I refill it?
It’s simple. Just slide the dispenser upward to separate it from the wall-mounted base. Place the new floss spool inside, feed the floss through the front hole, and then slide it back onto the base until it clicks into place. You’re good to go.
Can I use my own floss in the dispenser?
We recommend using esful refills for the best experience. Other spools may not fit correctly or dispense smoothly.
How long does the floss last?
Each spool contains 30 meters of floss - enough for approximately 2 months.
